![]() On Monday 28 September, 240 learners from Umlazi made the journey from their school to 4 destinations around Durban for a day of science related experiences. On the itinerary was a stopover for an hour-long hands-on lesson organised by CASME. Muzomuhle Primary School is part of the FNB Primary Education Project through which CASME provides ongoing training and support to teachers in Mathematics and English. However Thami Ndinisa, a teacher from the school who is part of the programme, felt this was not enough and wanted to extend opportunities to the learners in Science. The school arranged to transport the 240 learners to CASME as part of the excursion, where learners participated in an interactive, hands-on science lesson. The lesson was presented by CASME facilitators lead by Mr Mokhulu Matshika.
