The Amazing Hexagon Trig Trick

Jayaluxmi Naidoo

To be successful in mathematics I believe that one has to believe in ones self and also one has to work smart. I did not however wake up one morning with this notion but rather my parents as well as my mathematics educators have instilled this belief in me (not so many) years ago.

In mathematics I was always encouraged by my educators to apply methods that made mathematics easier to follow and easier to understand. In trigonometry for example there are many identities and rules to remember.

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to one model just one diagram, which assisted me in remembering at least 20 other identities/ rules required in trigonometry. I call this the amazing hexagon trig trick.
